AUTOMAT LUB SYSTEMS has designed and developed varieties of hand operated grease pumps for proper greasing to important moving parts of the machines as for bearing, bushes, chains slides Etc. Such types of hand operated grease pumps are being used by mixing machines. Rolling Mills, Furnaces etc.

Operational Theory
The hand operated grease pumps provide a predetermined quantity of grease on each stroke of its operation, when we pull the hand suction part of the cylinders it gets filled with grease, spring force through follow plate on the top surface further helps to push grease into the suction part. While pushing handle this grease comes out under pressure through check valve and is supplied by the lubricating points through pipelines.

Device
These hand operated grease pump is made up of purely transparent acrylic reservoir for storage of grease. For sensing the Grease a tell tale rod is used and follower plate assembly help in positive suction of grease. These hand operated pumps contains two outlet part of 1/4” Bsp right and left side in which one is plugged and used as Air Bleeding Valve

Filling of Grease
Grease can be filled manually and with another pump for which V/BSP port is provided. Manually, we have to remove follower plate, spring and top cover and fill the grease from the top of the reservoir and to fit all the components by pressure.

Grease Distribution to Lubrication Points
A Progressive block is used to distribute the grease to the available lubrication points sequentially and in a predetermined quantity. Progressive Blocks are added as per requirement.

Precaution
While using this manual grease pumps we should take precaution to avoid entering of foreign / dust particles in grease. If it is present in the grease it will result in physical damage of the pump parts. Secondly grease should be tightly packed to avoid air pockets. Air pockets are an obstacle in providing proper quantity of grease. A bleed plug is present in the pump to remove it. Last but not least manual grease pumps should be inspected regularly especially for air pockets and purity of grease.

Theory
Pneumatic Grease pump is operated by pneumatic power or pneumatic line connected to the port of cylinder. The cylinder is built in with the pneumatic pump. During 'ON' Period of pneumatic line, piston inside the cylinder is pushed, ejects out pressurized grease from the outlet port of the pump body. During reverse flow of pneumatic line, grease is sucked through the suction port in the pump spring force through follower plate exerted on the top surface of grease make the suction of the grease positive and easier.

Physical Components

1. Reservoir mounted on pump body to store grease.
2. A tell tale rod is connected for sensing grease.
3. A Check valve is fitted on the outlet port for avoiding reverse flow of grease.
4. Adjusting screw is provided to vary grease discharge.
5. Bleed valve is applied to remove air pockets.

Grease Distribution
To distribute the grease to various lubrication points, progressive blocks or metered valve are used. By progressive blocks lubricants are distributed to various Lubrication points in sequence one another. Progressive Blocks are three different types-Master Blocks, Primary Block and Secondary Block which can be added as per requirements. Grease line can also be divided by metered valve. Every time when pump is operated these valves eject out predetermined amount of grease. When pressure is released the valve gets charged.

AUTO MAT LUB has developed progressive block to distribute the lubricants delivered by a pump to different lubrication points in sequence one after another. It is especially designed for grease pump but may be used with the oiling systems where required maximum pressure is 1 OOKg. But it can also be increased/decreased on costumers requirement.

Indication pin & proximity switch may by used for sensing of pressure & approximate pressure. It may be considered as the specialty of the block that a blockage in a single outlet may stops functioning of the entire outlets. In general 2-20 outlets Progressive Block is available for ready use, however special blocks are also developed on customers requirement

Customers are requested to send their order specifying the actual requirement, i.e. with / without indication pin, proximity switch, micro switch and number of outlet required. User are required to use progressive block in handle with care basis.
