Operational Theory
Normally these hand operated pumps are piston type pump contains its own small tank. When we operate the pump, it discharges oil. As soon as force on the handle is removed piston return back by spring force and pressure in lubrication line is reduced to 12 kg/cm3 and whenever piston is operated, oil is ejected out from the outlet of the pumps under pressure. The oil is filled on the reservoir manually by opening the top cover of the pump.
Device
The body part of these hand operated oil pumps are used as reservoir. Additionally oil window is fixed in the body to observe the oil level. A drain plug is also used on the bottom of the pump. Four mounting holes are provide with screw to mount the pump on the machines. The pump has one outlet port of M10 XT size.
Distribution of Oil
A commonly 6 mm Line is linked with the manifold where metering cartridge is fitted to provide appropriate quantity of metered oil to certain lubrication points.
Precaution
- It is recommended not to use pumps without oil to avoid air inside the pump.
- Maintain 10 seconds.between two strokes.
- Use oil with viscosity between 10 to 220 cSt.
Field of Application
The pumps are being commonly used in Small Power Presses, Pouch Packing Machines, Looms, Surface Grinder and all such machines where economy system is required and the number of lubrication points are 30 or less.
